Set in 19th-century Paris, La Traviata tells the tragic story of Violetta Valéry, a beautiful but fragile courtesan who falls deeply in love with Alfredo Germont, a young man from a respectable family. They retreat to the countryside to live a blissful life together, but Alfredo’s father intervenes, convincing Violetta to leave Alfredo for the sake of his family’s honor. Heartbroken, Violetta complies, and Alfredo, unaware of her sacrifice, lashes out in anger. In the final act, gravely ill from tuberculosis, Violetta and Alfredo reconcile, but their joy is fleeting as she succumbs to her illness, leaving Alfredo devastated.
